Melrose Resources plc is an Edinburgh-based oil and gas exploration, development and production company with interests in Egypt, Bulgaria, Romania, United States, France and Turkey. Melrose was founded in the 1990's and was listed on the Main Market of the London Stock Exchange in 1999.
In 2009 Melrose's production averaged 38,595 boepd on a working interest basis. Turnover for the year to 31 December 2009 amounted to $224m, with EBITDAX and profit before tax of $178m and $31m respectively.
Melrose maintains operatorship and holds material interests of all its key assets to ensure full control of its capital expenditure programme. In 2010, this programme will amount to $142m and will focus on exploration activities, near term revenue generating development projects and material growth opportunities.
