Richard Lewy
Chairman, BA, MBA (57)
Richard Lewy was appointed as Chairman with effect from 1 July 2004, having served as a Director since July 2002. He was a Managing Director of Scudder, Stevens and Clark Limited and was the Chief Executive Officer of Scudder's London based Investment Management business, which he established in 1989. He also directed the firm's insurance asset management practice in London. He has extensive Lloyd's Insurance Market experience having served on the Lloyd's Market Board and on several Lloyd's committees and working parties. He was previously a Director of Hardy Underwriting Group plc and of Amlin Underwriting Limited. He was a Member of Lloyd's from 1989 to 2000. He also serves as a Non-Executive Director of Atrium Underwriters Limited.

James Joll
Senior Independent Non-Executive Director (69)
James Joll was appointed as Senior Independent Non-Executive Director with effect from 1 January 2005. He worked at N M Rothschild & Sons Limited from 1968 until he left to become an Executive Director at Pearson plc in 1980, where he was Finance Director from 1985 to 1996. He is currently a Non-Executive Director of Equitas, Latchways plc, Wichford plc and Chairman of Pearson Group Pension Trustee.

Charles Bailey
Non-Executive Director FCA (72)
Charles Bailey was appointed as a Director in December 1998, and served as Chairman for one year between July 2003 and June 2004. Until 1987 he was a Senior Partner in Price Waterhouse, and in 1993 he was appointed as Chairman of Atrium Underwriters Limited. He remains a Non-Executive Director of Atrium Underwriters Limited and is a Director of Antofagasta plc, RIT Capital Partners plc and General Oriental Investments Limited.

George Rivaz
Non-Executive Director (42)
George Rivaz was appointed as a Director in July 2004. He worked at Lloyd's for Wellington's Syndicate 1095 for six years prior to joining General Re in 1993 to work on the formation and development of Tempest Re, where he served as Chief Operating Officer from April 1998, until leaving the Company in June 2001. He is a Director of Rivaz Consulting Limited and was appointed as Co-President of Ariel Holdings Ltd with effect from 16th December 2005. He also serves as a Non-Executive Director of Atrium Underwriters Limited.

Steve Cook
Chief Executive Officer, BSc (Hons), ACA (41)
Steve Cook was appointed Chief Executive Officer in December 2005. He was previously the Group Managing Director and before that the Group Finance Director. He was appointed as Finance Director of Atrium's managing agency in August 1997 and became Managing Director in August 2000. Before working at Lloyd's he was a Senior Audit Manager at Ernst & Young, where he specialised in Lloyd's Audits. He was previously a member of the Lloyd's Capital Working Group and is currently a member of the Lloyd's Market Association Capital Committee.

Simon Curtis
Group Finance Director, BSc (Hons), ACA (35)
Simon Curtis was appointed Group Finance Director in July 2003. He joined Atrium in July 2000 and was appointed Finance Director Board of Directors of Atrium's managing agency in August 2001. He joined Atrium from Ernst & Young, where he was an Audit Manager. He has many years' experience of insurance accounting and audit both in London and New York, and especially in the Lloyd's Market. He is currently a member of the Lloyd's Market Association Finance Committee.

Nicholas Marsh
Director of Corporate Underwriting (50)
Nicholas Marsh was appointed Director of Corporate Underwriting in December 2005, having previously served as Chief Executive Officer. He served as Deputy Underwriter of Syndicate 570 and was appointed Active Underwriter from 1989. He continued this role until his appointment as Executive Chairman of Atrium's managing agency on the 1 January 2005. He is a member of the Lloyd's Market Association Board and has served on various other Lloyd's committees. He was a Non-Executive Director of Abacus Syndicates Limited until 31 December 2003.

Christine Dandridge

Christine Dandridge was appointed a Director in December 1998. She served as Deputy Underwriter of Syndicate 609 and was appointed Active Underwriter in 1997. She has been a Director of Atrium’s managing agency since 1986. She is currently a member of the Lloyd’s Market Association Marine Committee and the Council of Lloyd’s.

Kevin Wilkins was appointed a Director in December 1998. He served as Deputy Underwriter of Syndicate 570 and was appointed Active Underwriter with effect from 1 January 2005. He has been a Director of Atrium’s managing agency since 1997.
